Congratulations to all Constructor's 2024 graduates (including BIGSSS' Juma Kaleygeira) › view all

On June 12, 2024, over 400 graduates of Constructor University's undergraduate and graduate programs walked across the stage in their caps and gowns to receive their diplomas. Amongst the graduates on this special day was Juma Kalyegira, who defended his PhD in Psychology in September 2023 as an Affiliated Fellow at BIGSSS. His thesis was titled "The role of basic psychological needs satisfaction for the psychological wellbeing and social-cultural integration of refugees in Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement, Uganda" which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kühnen (BIGSSS, Constructor University), Prof. Dr. Klaus Boehnke (BIGSSS, Constructor University), and Prof. Dr. Stefan Stürmer (FernUniversität in Hagen). All of the BIGSSS faculty and fellows present were happy to celebrate this special day with Juma!

Both regular and affiliated BIGSSS fellows who complete a BIGSSS PhD and submit their dissertation on time can walk in the Constructor University diploma ceremony each year, independent of which university was their home base. So maybe you would like to keep this very special celebration in mind!
