University of Bremen's OPEN CAMPUS DAY 2017 › view all

On Saturday, June 17th, more than 19.000 people from Bremen “und umzu” followed UB’s invitation to its bi-annual OPEN CAMPUS event. 

True to the motto "Open Worlds - Share Knowledge" more than 30 pagoda tents were set up in the UB campus park representing faculties, institutes, affiliated institutes, and various central research units.

BIGSSS, SOCIUM and InIIS shared a stand offering a threefold program: the newly produced BIGSSS-fellows-film saw its first screening, passers-by were interviewed about their expectations on the public role of the social sciences, and the managing directors of the three institutes offered individual counselling in a “Rent-A-Social-Scientist” program. 

Besides the impressions and expertise from the different university departments, the OPEN CAMPUS offered guided tours, concerts (Samy Deluxe), a poetry slam, and other events.
