BIGSSS Best Paper Award 2017 › view all

Andreas Katsikidis, BIGSSS PhD fellow in Thematic Field B, received this year’s Best Paper Award for his paper on "Diversity or Ranking? Revisiting the Impact of Income Inequality on Generalized Trust". The award was presented at the BIGSSS Meeting of Members on June 7th, 2017.

This year’s committee was composed of faculty members Ulrich Kühnen, Lucia Quaglia, Mandy Boehnke, postdoc Clara Weinhardt, and PhD fellows Lara Minus and Anne Leiser.

The committee was especially impressed with the societal relevance and interdisciplinarity of the paper, making it an excellent example of the core of BIGSSS’ mission.

This truly sounds like a great read! Great job, Andreas, and everyone else who submitted their papers! Let’s keep up the good work and we hope to receive even more excellent submissions for next year’s Best Paper Award (due date: December 31, 2017).
