BIGSSS invites international applications for the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) "Global Dynamics of Social Policy and Social Cohesion" (GSPSC) funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). 

The GSPSC PhD program focuses on the question of how social policy and social cohesion are related on a global, regional or national level. Comparative or transnational perspectives that address interdependencies between the Global South and North are especially welcome. Single country case studies may scrutinize the complex interlinkages between social policy and social cohesion

BIGSSS offeres two attractive PhD scholarships (48 months) at the intersection of Bremen’s CRC 1342 “Global Dynamics of Social Policy”, the national Research Centre for Social Cohesion FGZ/RISC, the previous BIGSSS-DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programm "GloWel – Global Inequality, the Middle Class and the Welfare State”, and the Research Training Group “Social Dynamics of the Self. The scholarships are funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through its Graduate School Scholarship Programme.
