Klaus Boehnke Receives Fukuhara Prize › view all

Klaus Boehnke, BIGSSS Methods Center Chair and former Vice Dean, was awarded the Fukuhara Prize of the International Council of Psychologists (ICP). The prize recognizes Boehnke's research as well as his exceptional commitment to international and interdisciplinary cooperation.

The prize was presented at the annual ICP conference in Cádiz, Spain. It goes back to Dr. Machiko Fukuhara, a former president of the organization and emeritus professor at Tokiwa University in Japan. Founded in 1941, the aim of the work of the ICP is to promote human rights, peace and cooperation between mental health professionals and social scientists.

Klaus Boehnke most recently attracted public attention with his research on social cohesion commissioned by the Bertelsmann Stiftung and a diversity barometer which he and his research team developed for the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
