BIGSSS invites international applications for its Ph.D. program GloWel ("Global Inequality, the Middle Classes and the Welfare State") which is run in cooperation with the DAAD’s Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP). The program starts on September 1, 2022, application deadline is January 17, 2022.

Two attractive scholarships (48 months) are offered at the intersection of Bremen’s new FGZ, the CRC 1342, BIGSSS’ new Research Training Group SELF and many of the SOCIUM colleagues’ research programs. The program's overall topic is "Global Inequality, the Middle Classes and the Welfare State” (GloWel).
