Practices of Building and Maintaining Trust in Cross-functional Teams

Dissertation abstract
In many organizations, project teams have become a popular way of organizing. Previous research has revealed that one of the main challenges project teams face is trust-building. However, very little is known about how trust-building practices are conceptualized, created and maintained in this context. This research project uses semi-structured interviews, and a team observation to discover how trust-building as a social practice is described and used by team members, managers and consultants.
