Susanne K. Schmidt new dean of BIGSSS

On 1 September 2009, Susanne K. Schmidt took over the deanship from founding dean of BIGSSS Steffen Mau. Professor Schmidt, who is also chair of BIGSSS thematic field 2 "Integration and Diversity in the New Europe", previously acted as vicedean of BIGSSS. The political scientist from Universität Bremen (UB) is looking forward to continuing the successful cooperation between UB and Jacobs University Bremen and took the opportunity to greet the new cohort of BIGSSS fellows at BIGSSS' welcome reception on Wednesday, 9 September.
