Jan-Ocko Heuer receives "Nachwuchspreis für Rechtssoziologie"

Jan-Ocko Heuer's Master thesis investigating debt and insolvency counselling has been awarded the Nachwuchspreis der Sektion Rechtssoziologie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie. The Diplomarbeit entitled "Anwaltliche Schuldner- und Insolvenzberatung. Eine explorative Studie zur Rechtswirklichkeit anwaltlicher Insolvenzberatung im Rahmen des §305 InsO" had already been awarded the Forschungspreis der Josef Popper-Nährpflicht-Stiftung 2007/2008 of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main.
The prize will be presented to Jan-Ocko in October 2010 at the 35. Kongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie in Frankfurt am Main.

Jan-Ocko Heuer is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Sciences at BIGSSS and examines the topic of "Personal Bankruptcy Law in Comparative Perspective". His research question explores how personal bankruptcy laws in OECD-countries differ and what can account for the differences.
