Other short-term accommodation while looking for an apartment are the Bremen Youth Hostel or the Bremer Backpacker Hostel.

Unfortunately, you will not be allowed to move into the student halls run by the student union at the University of Bremen because they only accept residents with low income. The accommodation service of the student union ('Zimmervermittlung des Studentenwerks') will, however, help you to find accommodation outside the student dorms. It is located on the first floor of the Studentenhaus (StH). Call them up, dial: +49 (0)421 2201-122 or send an e-mail to Ms Ferber: bferber@studentenwerk.bremen.de

Another option is to temporarily move into a shared apartment. Look out for rooms on Zwischenmiete = temporarily vacant.
